Community Support

At Dalemain Marmalade Awards

Lockdown lead to all events being cancelled which meant I was left with a lot of stock. It also coincided for me with a replacement knee operation so my activities were even more curtailed.

My local community came to the rescue through ‘Next Door’ when I posted that I was a local producer of Artisan Preserves with a lot of stock due to so many events being cancelled. The response was wonderful, customers collected jars after jars of Jams, Chutney & Marmalade from my porch. Payments were arranged to prevent face to face contact, collection times were agreed and tho most of them I have never met, I do try to give an appreciative wave at the time of collection. Many have returned for me and given me repeat orders. Some have contacted me and then brought along their excess produce to be turned into preserves. This always delights me. My gratitude to those customers in my local communities cannot be measured. Their feedback has encouraged me to continue to experiment with flavours as well as produce the classics.
